Privacy Policy

Rock Quick Search is a Mac app that lets church staff look up contact information in their own church's Rock server. This policy explains what the app does with information. In short: we, the developer, never receive, see, store, or share any of your data. The app talks only to the Rock server you sign in to.
Who we are
Rock Quick Search is published by Betis Apps. Contact us at info@betisapps.com.
What the app handles, and where it goes
| Information | Where it's kept | Where it's sent |
|---|---|---|
| Your Rock server address | On your Mac, in the app's preferences | Nowhere else |
| Your Rock username and password | On your Mac, only in the macOS Keychain | Only to your Rock server, to sign in |
| Rock sign-in session | In memory only; gone when the app quits or you sign out | Only back to your Rock server |
| Names you search for | In memory only | Only to your Rock server |
| People's names, photos, phone numbers, and email addresses | In memory only, while the app is running; never written to disk | Nowhere. Copying a number, or opening Phone, Messages, FaceTime, or Mail, happens only when you choose to |
| A person's email address, when you click Email | Not stored | Only to the email app or web mail service you choose in Settings → "Compose email with" (your Mac's mail app, Apple Mail, Gmail, or Outlook on the web), to start the message |
| Your keyboard shortcut, Launch at Login, and email app choices | On your Mac, in the app's preferences | Nowhere |
What the app does not do
- It has no servers of its own. There is no Rock Quick Search account, cloud, or backend.
- It collects no analytics, usage statistics, crash reports, or advertising identifiers, and contains no third-party SDKs.
- It does not track you across apps or websites.
- It does not write contact information to disk. Search results, details, and photos are held in memory only, with network caching turned off.
- It does not log personal information. Diagnostic messages record only things like HTTP status codes and error types.
- It does not read your files, contacts, location, camera, or microphone. It runs in Apple's App Sandbox with permission only to make outgoing network connections.
Your church's Rock server
The people data you see belongs to your church and is controlled by your church's Rock server, under your church's own policies and permissions. Rock Quick Search shows only what your Rock account is allowed to see, and hides phone numbers marked unlisted in Rock. For questions about the data itself, such as correcting it, deleting it, or who can see it, contact your church's Rock administrator.
Signing out and deleting data
Settings → Sign Out deletes your saved username and password from the Keychain, ends the session, and clears all search results and contact details from memory. Quitting the app also clears everything held in memory. Deleting the app removes its preferences.
